The Hollow is the 4th chamber of The Gungeon. It resembles a large, icy ossuary and introduces various undead enemies. In addition, it occasionally features natural floor ice that proves a slippery surface for players but not enemies.
If you enter the Hollow with a Master Round in your inventory, a special room with the Sell Creep will always spawn. If the player gives the Sell Creep a Master Round and two other items, the player will gain access to the R&G Dept.

Notes[ | ]
- Before being given to the Blacksmith in the Forge, there is always a large room with the Planar Lead on the other side and a seemingly impassable pit in-between. The player must either take advantage of visual cues hinting at the shape of the bridge such as shells discarded behind the Gungeoneer when shooting any of the three main characters' (besides The Pilot's) starters or the liquid pools left behind when using guns such as Mega Douser.
- A secret room can be found in the Hollow containing an old man who will give you a gun.
- Current given Betrayer's Shield, not sure if other guns are given.
- Gives dialogue when spoken to:
- "Safety in numbers", who needs it!
- I've never known human companionship so I always feel exhilarating fear!
- The Boss room is usually located either southwest or southeast, (bottom left or right respectively) as the boss is usually the Wallmonger. If not, it is most likely north or west. (top or left respectively)
Trivia[ | ]
- According to the Hollowpoint Ammonomicon Entry, the Hollow is where slain Bullet Kin are sent to, either to rest or be used in some form of unholy Necromancy/Ammomancy. Since skeletal remains of non-bullet based creatures, mostly humanoid, are found in the Hollow, it is possible this does not apply only to Bullet Kin.
