One Last Trick
This tiny pistol packs a correspondingly small punch, but it is well-known for getting its wielders out of tight spots.

Derringer is a gun. It is a small handgun with only two shots per magazine. If fired after dodge rolling, all bullets can be fired rapidly.

Notes[ | ]

  • Synergy Dead Prez - If the player has the Dueling Pistol, Derringer fires bouncing musket balls identical to the Dueling Pistol, and Dueling Pistol fires a wide spread of 4 bullets alongside its normal shots.
  • Synergy Thorn Bath, ooh! - If the player has Armor of Thorns, Derringer's damage is increased by 30%. While Derringer is held in a room with enemies, thorns are periodically fired in all directions.
  • This gun is among those Gunsling King and Manservantes can challenge you to clear a room with.

Trivia[ | ]

  • UnusedSynergy Altered: Like Shooting Fish - This gun used to be able to synergize with Barrel for the synergy Synergy Like Shooting Fish.
  • In real life, Derringers were very small, concealable pocket pistols that became very popular from the 19th century onwards. Also known as palm pistols, they bear the name of their inventor, Henry Deringer. Most of them were single shot or - as in the model portrayed in game - double shot.
  • The Synergy Dead Prez synergy refers to the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln, who was famously shot by John Wilkes Booth using a Philadelphia Deringer. "Dead Prez" is also the name of a hip hop act.
  • The characters in game reload the Derringer through the use of a sleeve rig causing the weapon to disappear into their sleeve and reappear fully loaded a fraction of a second later. This is referenced with the flavor text "One Last Trick".
