Grave Lad
This hellish servant was lost, and hid in a chest. He's yours now.

Formed from several dozen discarded shell casings, this Gundead familiar wields moderate power.

Baby Good Shelleton is a passive item.

Effects[]

  • Follows the player and attacks enemies with a green laser.
  • Laser does 12.5 dps, for 3.86s, with downtime being 4.9s, essentially adding 5.5 dps

Notes[]

  • Birthright - If the player also has Shellegun, when the gun is held, the companion will alternate between its laser and a wide-angle shot similar to the Shelleton enemy.
  • Shell-A-Ton - If the player has Shelleton Key, Baby Good Shelleton moves and shoots much faster.
  • Tea For Two - If the player also has Teapot, the companion will have Teapot's AoE effect while reloading.
  • If the player stands outside the Bullet King's boss door, the Baby Good Shelleton may kill the Chancellor.
  • The flag for unlocking Baby Good Shelleton via finishing a run appears to trigger when the High Dragun is defeated.
    • This happens even if Baby Good Mimic is mimicking another companion. It also appears to happen even if the player has two of the same companion at the time for other reasons; for example, having two Gatling Gull companions active at the same time (via Secret Twin) when beating the High Dragun will also unlock this item.
  • The flags for unlocking Baby Good Shelleton via the blown-up chest can be attained in either order; for example, merely acquiring Baby Good Mimic after a chest has exploded at any point in your current run will unlock Baby Good Shelleton.
    • Merely breaking a chest is not enough; it must explode when broken, yielding nothing.
  • Baby Good Shelleton appears to have various other unlocking means, beyond just the two listed, though these might not have been confirmed:
    • Merely restarting the run once the player gets Baby Good Mimic (which may trip the run-finishing flag)
    • Merely starting a run with Baby Good Mimic, as The Paradox
    • Beating a boss of the Hollow with any companion item equipped
    • Beating a Hollow boss for the fifth time (either the same one five times, or any five Hollow bosses; it isn't clear which)
  • If the Baby Good Shelleton is spawned as an enemy with Mods then it will (by default) have the Birthright synergy.

Bugs[]

  • Unlocking Baby Good Shelleton might not get a pop-up in-game. It will always get a pop-up in the Ammonomicon, however.

Trivia[]

  • The description of the item is an altered version of the Shelleton's Ammonomicon entry.
